Are you a new resident to Willow Park? Do you want to learn more about our Homeowners Association? This page has some basic information for you.
What is a Homeowners Association?
A Homeowners Association, also known by its abbreviation: HOA, is an organization in a residential community, typically composed of homeowners, that manages and regulates the community's common areas and shared interests. Established by the developer at the time of construction, the HOA enforces rules and guidelines to maintain property values, promote community standards, and provide services such as landscaping, maintenance, and recreational facilities.
Key responsibilities of the HOA include:
Rule enforcement: HOAs create and enforce rules and regulations, often known as CC&Rs (Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions), that all homeowners must follow.
Maintenance of common spaces: This includes parks, swimming pools, clubhouses, and other shared facilities.
Financial management: HOAs collect dues from members to fund community services, maintenance, and improvements.
What are some of the basic rules/regulations of Willow Park HOA?
A full list of the Covenants can be found on our website, but here are a few key points:
All exterior home improvements (including, but not limited to, house painting, fencing, landscaping) must first be approved by the Architectural Control Committee. The form and instructions are listed under the ACC page of the website.
Only household pets such as dogs, cats, or birds are allowed provided they do not become a nuisance.
No goods, equipment, materials, or vehicles can be stored in a driveway or adjacent street.
Every resident is expected to maintain their own landscaping.
Rubbish, recycling, and yard waste bins are placed curbside on Waste Management collection days (usually every Friday). Bins must be out-of-sight the remainder of the week.
If you have any other questions or concerns, contact the HOA.
