Are you a new resident to Willow Park? Do you want to learn more about what a Homeowners Association does? This page has some basic information for you.
What is a Homeowners Association?
A Homeowners Association, or HOA, is an organization in a residential community, typically composed of homeowners, that manages and regulates the community's common areas and shared interests.
Key responsibilities include:
Rule enforcement: An HOA creates and enforces rules and regulations, known as Conditions, Covenants, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) that all homeowners must follow.
Maintenance of common spaces: An HOA maintains all areas within the community including parks and other green spaces.
Financial management: An HOA collects dues from members to fund community services, maintenance, and improvements.
What are some of the basic rules and regulations of the Willow Park HOA I should know?
All exterior home improvements (including, but not limited to, house painting, fencing, landscaping) must first be approved by the Architectural Control Committee. The form and instructions can be found on the ACC page of the website.
Only household pets such as dogs, cats, or birds are allowed provided they do not become a nuisance.
No goods, equipment, materials, or derelict vehicles can be stored in a driveway or adjacent street.
Every resident is expected to maintain their own landscaping.
Rubbish, recycling, and yard waste bins are placed curbside on Waste Management collection days (usually every Friday). Bins must be out-of-sight the remainder of the week.
There are three green spaces available to Willow Park residents and their guests:
Gazebo Park @ SE 306 Ct & 127 Pl SE - Swings Park @ 130 Av SE & SE 305 Ct - Playground Park @ 130 Av SE & SE 308 Pl
